In 2024, the Département de la Savoie initiated a major celebration with its 1st edition on the Col du Petit St Bernard. For this 2nd edition, French and Italians are expected to gather at the Mont Cenis pass to celebrate the friendship between Savoyards and Piedmontese.

Celebrate Franco-Italian friendship at the 2nd Fête des Alpes on the Col du Montcenis!
In 2024, at the heart of transalpine cooperation, the Département de la Savoie initiated a major popular celebration with the first edition of the "Fête des Alpes" on the Col du Petit Saint-Bernard. For this second edition, French and Italians are expected to gather at the Col du Montcenis to celebrate the friendship between Savoyards and Piedmontese.
A unique, open-access event featuring music, folk dancing, parades, gastronomy, crafts, agriculture, traditional games, sporting activities and visits to the surrounding heritage, all centered on the mountain values and traditions that unite them. Numerous surprises are in store throughout the weekend: see you at 2pm on Saturday, August 30, to kick off the festivities!
This second edition is organized by the Département de la Savoie with the support of the communes of Val Cenis, Susa, Giaglione, Moncenisio, Mompantero, Novalese, Venaus, the Metropolitan City of Turin, the Communauté de communes Haute Maurienne Vanoise, the Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourist Office, Turismo Torino, the Piedmont region, the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, and the European Interreg Alcotra/A-Mont program.
