Traditional fest of August 15 - Val Cenis-Bramans
15th August festival in Bramans: traditions, parade, mass, meal and musical entertainment for a festive day.
Description
Program :
7:00 am: awakening with fanfare
9am: gathering in front of Val Cenis town hall of traditional Maurienne costumes and Bramans firefighters in Empire uniform.
Departure of the parade of firefighters and mauriennes towards Le Verney to fetch the bread, then on to the church with the bread to be blessed during mass.
10:00am: Mass, blessing and sharing of blessed bread at mass.
11:00am: Continuation of the procession to Le Verney, then back to the Val Cenis town hall.
From 12:00: Lunch in the village on the Place de la Mairie.
Free discovery of the streets and lanes of Bramans.
Discover local crafts and products, meet and talk to local people and tradespeople...

Lunch (in partnership with Boucherie " Maison Bourla ") :
Beaufort quiche with green salad, diots and gratin dauphinois, cheese and dessert.

4pm: Enter the 2nd Mountain Beard and Moustache Competition!
5.30pm: The young shepherd proposes to the notary's daughter! Let's hope the 14 hats don't disrupt the official moment...
6pm: The notary's "yes" is watered with the hand pump!
6:30pm: Musical Aperitif Quiz with buzzers!
8:30pm: Exceptional concert by "Johnny Ah'Lidle, hommage collatéral" with Johnny Maurienne and his 5 musicians.
Followed by a dance party hosted by DJ "PartyKlub".
Evening catering: The "Truck Village": pizzas, burgers, paninis, Thai specialities, paella, hot dogs... and refreshment stands.
