Amid mountain streams, waterfalls, pools of crystal-clear water, and passages carved out by the river, this activity is perfect for getting your fill of thrills in an exceptional natural setting.

Two routes are available depending on your skill level and preferences.

The Écot Canyon: a fun introduction to canyoning in one of Savoie’s most beautiful canyons

Located in Bonneval-sur-Arc, in the heart of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise, the Écot Canyon is recognized as one of the most beautiful canyoning sites in Savoie. Accessible to beginners and families, it allows you to discover the activity in complete safety within a spectacular setting.

As you make your way down, you’ll progress along the riverbed, alternating between wading through the water, sliding down natural water slides, taking small jumps (never mandatory), swimming in pools, and navigating natural obstacles. Each participant moves at their own pace under the guidance of a certified guide.

The Capriè Canyon: A Day of Adventure in Italy

For experienced participants seeking a more challenging experience, the Capriè Canyon, located on the other side of the Alps in Italy, offers a longer and more technical descent. This canyon is renowned for its rappels down waterfalls, its impressive red granite walls, and its magnificent pools carved out by the water.

This day trip will appeal to adventure seekers looking to explore a spectacular canyon in a wild setting.

An activity led by professionals

All excursions are led by high-mountain guides from the Val Cenis Guides’ Office. Technical gear is provided (neoprene wetsuit, helmet, harness, gloves, and specialized equipment) to ensure comfort and safety throughout the descent.
