While the resort's geographical location and profile mean that Val Cenis can guarantee quality snow cover, it can't make the sun shine on the slopes... But it can now reimburse skiers in the event of bad weather: after 3 hours of precipitation, Val Cenis will reimburse the cost of the day's skiing, even if you skied that day!

In the event of bad weather involving over 3 hours of precipitation (rain, snow or hail) between 9 am and 5 pm, Val Cenis will refund the total cost of one day’s skiing, even if you managed to ski, thanks to the weather guarantee in association with Sensible Weather insurance. Sensible Weather is a climate risk technology company, aiming to “de-risk” weather conditions for consumers and for partners offering outdoor experiences.
The refund applies when precipitation levels reach 1.5 mm per hour or more (1.5 mm per hour represents around 1 cm of snowfall, reducing visibility to less than 1 km). Types of precipitation include rain, snow and any other frozen precipitation. See our terms and conditions and privacy policy.
You can book online when you buy your ski pass. Simply select your pass on www.valcenis.ski and add the “Weather guarantee” option to your basket. Please note that once you’ve purchased your ski pass, you won’t be able to add the weather guarantee later on. To ensure that your trip is covered in the event of precipitation, make sure you choose the weather guarantee when you purchase your ski pass.
The price of the weather guarantee is determined based on weather variations and risks. If the weather model predicts good conditions for your chosen dates, the weather guarantee will be offered at a lower price. If the model predicts unsettled conditions, the price goes up a little. Essentially, the cost of the weather guarantee varies between 8% and 12% of the ski pass price and averages at around 10%

- 3 days' skiing at Bardonecchia (Italy), 3 days' skiing at Montgenèvre, 3 days' skiing at Pralognan la Vanoise and 3 days' skiing at Crans-Montana (Switzerland).
-Unlimited bus access to all resorts and villages at Haute Maurienne Vanoise from Sunday to Friday. Please note: for safety reasons (rapid evacuation), you cannot keep your ski or snowboard boots on your feet on buses S50, S51, S52 and S53. You can put them in the hold with your ski/snowboard and poles. Cross-country ski boots allowed.
- Unlimited access to lifts at Haute Maurienne Vanoise resorts open in summer.
