Location

Departure from the Plan du Lac mountain hut. - Accessible only on foot. In summer, a shuttle bus service is available from Termignon, stopping near the mountain hut.

• 3/ Descend toward the Saint-Barthélémy Chapel, then leave the GR©5 and take the path on the right toward the Femma Refuge (staffed during the summer season). Climb to the Col de la Rocheure (2,911 m). The descent to the Fond des Fours refuge is tricky in poor visibility. In these conditions, descend through the Pissets valley to the Manchet parking lot (2000m), then climb back up to the Fond des Fours refuge. Allow an extra 1 hour and 30 minutes.
