Explore Termignon on foot: Stage 3 - The Belvedere Forest
The third route in the Explorer Termignon à pied network takes you on a challenging hike along a trail lined with animals that won’t run away.... STAGE 3 will take you over the mountain ridge that overlooks the village, with everything you need at the top to enjoy the view.
Description
Two slopes, two atmospheres!
On the southeastern slope, Scots pines have taken over the terraced fields that were still thriving in the 20th century, and whose remnants you can still make out.
On the northwestern slope, among the fir and spruce trees, you can spot, if you have a keen eye, the remnants of Termignon’s former ski area... And don’t forget to stop by the Coin fountain, carved out of the rock in the 19th century. Nearby lies one of the forest animals that Christophe Chappellaz carved out of wood to decorate the trail.
In winter, remember to share the space with other Nordic area users, and check snow conditions with the Tourist Office.
