2/ After the Vallonbrun refuge, you can climb up to the Pierre aux Pieds (rock engravings). Allow a further 2 hours (one way). Take the balcony path to Plan de la Cha. You'll come across the Cuchet refuge (unsupervised refuge, kitchen equipment and blankets available), which can be an intermediate stopover, depending on your chosen starting point. Continue towards Pré Vaillant, then Turra de Termignon. The GR5 gradually reaches the Bellecombe parking lot, then the Plan du Lac refuge.
