A very gradual ascent without major difficulty through a beautiful larch forest that opens onto a remarkable view of the Vanoise glaciers. The pass leads to the Mont-Cenis plateau and its large high altitude lake!

Description

From Lanslebourg, the climb is through a forest of larches before reaching the mountain pastures of the Mont-Cenis pass. We invite you to continue to the Mont-Cenis pyramid which houses a museum and overlooks a rich botanical garden.

Although the road is very busy, its condition is excellent.

You will have many stops, such as drinking water points in Lanslebourg and Mont-Cenis. You will also have refreshment points in these same places. A repair point in Lanslevillard is also available.

The Mont-Cenis pass, a thousand year old crossing point between France and Italy, invites you to contemplate its turquoise lake, its rich defensive heritage and its generous nature; guided visit of the pyramid museum and the alpine garden, circuit of the forts.
