This large outdoor museum is designed as a walking tour that takes you from chapel to chapel, featuring themed exhibitions. Armed with your key, you can explore these paths at your own pace and discover the history of the village of Lanslevillard.

Description

"Les chemins de l'Histoire" bears witness to the religious fervor of the mountain communities of Lanslevillard and Haute Maurienne. It takes the form of a discovery trail through the village’s 10 restored and refurbished chapels, each featuring a thematic exhibition on fresco and mural painting techniques, rock art, and more. At the Espace Culturel St Roch, the hostess will give you a key to open the chapel doors. Take the tour at your own pace, as you please! (The key is loaned for one week).
