EDF Val Cenis Trail

Val-Cenis

On August 1 and 2, 2026, the Trail EDF Val Cenis returns for its 17th edition. It's the summertime trail event in the mountains, with courses for everyone.

Description

Over the years, the EDF Val Cenis Trail has become one of the major summer sporting events in the Haute Maurienne Vanoise region.

Set against the spectacular landscapes of Val Cenis and the Vanoise National Park, the event offers a wide variety of courses so that everyone can enjoy the adventure at their own pace, with races ranging from 10 to 73 km: accessible distances for those new to trail running, intermediate distances to push your limits, and more challenging routes for experienced trail runners.

Younger participants are also part of the fun with the Kids races, which let them discover mountain running in a playful and festive atmosphere.

Beyond the competition, the EDF Val Cenis Trail has fostered a genuine spirit of camaraderie since its inception. Runners, families, volunteers, and spectators come together for an entire weekend, united by a shared passion for sports and the mountains.

Year after year, the event continues to grow and attract new participants. In 2026, it reached a new milestone with 3,000 participants—an all-time record—confirming its appeal and its place among the major trail running events in the Alps.

A weekend of sports, camaraderie, and discovery, in the heart of Val Cenis’s vast open spaces.
