The Hannibal Bivouac is a new shelter for hikers, located at Clapier Pass at an elevation of 2,477 meters.
It can accommodate up to 8 self-sufficient hikers, so be sure to bring your own gear and meals. This is an unstaffed shelter; reservations are not accepted.

Description

It is located along the route taken by Hannibal during his crossing of the Alps. Its contemporary architecture stands in stark contrast to traditional mountain huts, which is sure to surprise many visitors.

A place made all the more incredible by the breathtaking view of Italy through a large window and the promise of an incredible starry sky once night falls, to be admired from your bunk thanks to the skylight.

Family-friendly bivouac accessible from Petit Mont Cenis via an easy trail.

Accessible and open depending on snow conditions.
