The young archaeologists workshop
This workshop for children will allow them to discover archeology and the fascinating work of Jean Ducaillou, the Museum's chief archaeologist. After excavating their square, they will study, mark, draw and reconstruct their pottery.
Description
During nearly fifteen years of archaeological excavations, the Grotte des Balmes has yielded numerous remains from the Neolithic and Bronze Age, making it a benchmark site in the Alpine arc. Archaeology is a fascinating science, accessible to all.
Like Jean Ducaillou, budding archaeologists will be digging their own square and then having fun studying their discoveries to create their own excavation notebook.
