Accompanied by a guide, children will listen to the story told by the objects on display, and become privileged witnesses to the daily lives of these first mountain dwellers 5,500 years ago.

Description

It's more of a question-and-answer session than a visit. With Jean Ducaillou, the Museum's fictional archaeologist, the child becomes an active participant in his or her discovery, learning the rudiments of the scientific approach: observation, description and hypothesis generation. But the imaginary is still present, as the handling of real ceramic shards allows them to imagine themselves as prehistoric pottery craftsmen making their vases.
