Walking tour from Val Cenis Bramans to Châtel
A leisurely stroll to wander around the typical narrow streets of mountain
villages. This walk gives you a splendid blend of styles, combining
architectural heritage and the idyllic atmosphere of the Chemin du Petit
Bonheur.
Description
Crossing the Verney plunges you into history, so that you can picture exactly
how life used to be here. Mountain villages are steeped in remnants of days
gone by, each with its typical washhouse, bread oven, and narrow alleys
where only the villagers would pass.
And the inhabitants of Châtel won't spoil the effect. With no running water or
electricity, this hamlet makes you feel like you've stepped into the past. The
White Stream waterfall struggles in times of drought, but even in the height
of summer, it offers an oasis of freshness to delight both young and old.
Amongst snow-covered heather and pine forests, step onto Chemin du Petit
Bonheur (Path of Little Pleasures), a haven of tranquility that you won't
want to leave.
