Snowshoeing itinerary: Mont-Cenis Trail
Pedestrians too can enjoy the breathtaking panorama of Lac du Mont-Cenis in winter! Take the Ramasse chairlift and walk for around 45 minutes, discovering the explanatory panels on the history of the lake.

The walk gradually reveals the beauty of the lake and its dam, a symbol of the power of water in the mountains.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

1/ From the top station of the Ramasse chairlift, take the groomed Mont Cenis trail. Follow the trail, which partly goes back up the alpine ski slope in the opposite direction. Turn right around the chapel to reach the Col du Mont Cenis.
2/ 0 h 30 - At the pass, go straight ahead between the two buildings. Continue to the end of the trail, where you’ll find a view of Lac du Mont Cenis.
3/ 1 hr - From the end of the trail, turn around and return along the same route. Proceed cautiously on sections shared with downhill ski runs, until you reach the top station of the Ramasse chairlift.
4/ 1 hr 45 min - Ramasse chairlift terminal.
