Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

  • 1/ From the Cernay hut, take the groomed trail on the left, which leads to the hamlet of Le Planay via La Villette.
    2/ 1 hr - At the Planay crossroads, continue on the small, ungroomed trail up through the forest toward Le Suffet, passing the crossroads at an elevation of 1,760 m.
    3/ 2 hrs 30 mins - From Le Suffet, follow the signs for Saint Pierre d'Extravache and take a wider path back to the hamlet of Le Planay.
    4/ 3 hrs - At Le Planay, follow the same route as before to return to the Cabane du Cernay.
    5/ 4 hrs - Cabane du Cernay.
