Description
Petanque is a game of boules derived from the game of Provence. It is the sixth most popular sport in France. It comes from the French Provençal expression "pieds tanqués" which means feet placed both on the ground.
The aim of the game is to score points by placing the balls closer to the goal than the opponent.
