Outdoor Activity: Orienteering at Fort Variselle

Val-Cenis

Put your sense of direction to the test and admire the magnificent scenery surrounding the Variselle Dam and Fort. Along the way, take on challenges and answer questions about herding dogs to better understand their role.

Description

With your map in hand, set out to find all the checkpoints in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes along the trail leading to Fort Variselle. At each checkpoint, take on a challenge by answering questions about herding dogs: discover their essential role, learn to understand them better, and adopt the right behaviors when you encounter them.

Each checkpoint you find and each correct answer earns you points. Your goal? To find as many checkpoints as possible, answer the questions correctly, and clock the fastest time to try to win!

This orienteering race is open to everyone. You don’t need to be an athlete: the route is walked at your own pace, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and take your time answering the questions.
