Visit of the Balmes cave

This morning's discovery of the archaeology of Haute Maurienne is on offer. It begins with a visit to the first room of the cave, followed by a guided tour of the Museum, which will allow you to appreciate the exceptional richness of the site.

Description

When you visit the Museum, it is difficult to imagine where the objects on display really come from. This animation supervised by the guide of the Museum and a Guide in Medium Mountain offers a complete discovery of the environment of the inhabitants of the cave of Balmes. After a short easy walk to the site and an introduction to reading the landscape of an alpine valley, you enter the first room of the cave where, from the discovery of the old excavation site, the collections will be replaced in their context.
