Church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption - Termignon : free access

It was in the 17th century that the small 13th century building became the imposing building it is today: its five carved, gilded and polychrome wooden altarpieces make it one of the most remarkable churches in Maurienne. Let yourself be seduced!
Description
The church dominates the village, and it is imposing! The impressive building is flanked by the typical Haute-Maurienne bell tower with its stone spire.
Another characteristic local element: the vestibule, which protects from the cold. Here, it opens onto three naves housing the works of local sculptors: Sébastien Rosaz and Bernard Flandin from Termignon, helped by Jean Simond from Bramans. The numerous altarpieces they made compete with each other in beauty. But it is the central panel in polychrome carved wood of the altarpiece of the Rosary that attracts the eyes by its play of light and the finesse of its realization ... to leave completely dazzled!
