The Espace Culturel Saint-Roch presents objects from Gallo-Roman tombs as well as religious elements from the 16th and 17th centuries discovered in Lanslevillard. A permanent exhibition is devoted to the mountain communities of the 16th century

Description

Saint Roch and Saint Sebastian were invoked against the recurring plague epidemics that decimated the population due to travelers and armies passing through Mont Cenis. The plague wiped out a quarter of the village's population. The Saint Roch chapel is the starting point for "The Paths of History," a vast open-air museum exploring the chapels of Lanslevillard and the lives of the mountain communities of Lanslevillard.
The temporary exhibition is dedicated to the weeping woman, the emblematic war memorial of Termignon.
